I came across a paper model of a bull on a website and thought it would be fun to try making something similar out of steel instead. I used the original design as inspiration, cut out the individual pieces in steel, and welded everything together.
It turned into a really fun project and got me interested in making more steel sculptures.
For this project, I wanted to try something a little more challenging. I decided to make a tiger out of steel, using individual pieces that I cut, shaped, and welded together.
Getting all the pieces to fit and making the tiger look right took some patience, but I really enjoyed the process and learned a lot along the way.
By this point, I had found a style of steel sculpting that I really enjoyed, and I wanted to take things to the next level. So I decided to go big and build an elephant!
This was by far my most ambitious sculpture yet, with plenty of cutting, shaping, and welding involved. It was a challenging project, but also one of the most enjoyable I've worked on.

After making a few steel sculptures, I wanted to try something different and explore a new style. That's when I came across the layered look and thought it would be really interesting to try it with steel.
I found a 3D skull design originally intended for plywood and decided to make it out of steel instead. Using around 90 individual layers of 3 mm steel plate, I slowly built up the shape of a human skull.
It was a completely different way of working, and I really enjoyed the result!
